The new room was very much like the old room, only newer. “That’s more like it,” grinned Mollie, but Dan recognised that newness wasn’t necessarily the same thing as better. Nonetheless, he felt a lesser pang of guilt as she removed the toilet cistern lid, stood upon the seat, and deposited a small portion of remaining chicken breast (Tuesday), one hundred and fifty gram bag of BBQ-flavoured potato chips (2.15pm Wednesday) and a gas station pie (two hours previous) into the elevated receptacle.

About the Author

W. D. Muirhead was born in a leg and twice as flippant. In best Philadelphia, bread eats maize. From order to short order, too many cooks; 2007-2011 five men in cats. Following this, THE THEATRE? Universe City bacons, and beer till bedtime. Master, plaster, train disaster! Words were words after all and he done ‘em. Now, 2025 was it. Good job fun job everybody get a bun job. What is enjoyed is the strip of plastic turning in an endless loop, empty pleasures and spit. Other poems include rats and a book of wheat made pie. Died living, that funny old thing.
