About Us
We reckon it’s good to try new stuff and we hope that every time you pick up a Firestarter there’ll be something that will surprise you in your hot little hand.
While Firestarter’s focus isn’t only on stories of the backcountry, its brand was inspired by a purely backcountry experience that many trampers and hunters will understand:
The dilemma of arriving in a cold, damp hut. Wet to the bones.
Hypothermia setting in. The only way to light a fire to get warm is to…burn the book that’s sitting on the table.
Of course, book burning is not a good thing. But Firestarter asks the question: would you burn one of our books to save your life?
We would argue that if our books are good enough, you may not! At least not until you’ve read it.
Firestarter Press is dedicated to igniting the hearts, minds, and imaginations of readers.
Greenwash time
Making stuff. Transporting stuff. Trying stuff out. It all comes with a cost to the environment. We will do our best to make production and distribution decisions that aren’t too damaging to the world we live in.
Only burn our books if you really have to. Keeping them safe on your bookshelf or in your pocket is a great way to store carbon.
